The Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone comes with both front and rear cameras. It is an auto focus 5-megapixel camera. The Samsung galaxy offers a very wide stock of settings for its camera. Options like picture contrast, color saturation, brightness, and exposure can all be adjusted to get the perfection for every photograph. Each of these options has an excellent range with each minute adjustment making a noticeable difference in the photograph. Various colors can be very well captured using the camera of Samsung Galaxy S. The camera also gives a variety of scene modes like Self shot, Action shot, Panorama Shot, Stop motion, Smile shot etc. to suit the different requirements like shooting in bright light. Other focusing options are also available on a Samsung Galaxy camera. Different Photo modes like sports modes will enable the best shot and effects like sepia or black and white mode will help with the editing of photographs shot on the camera of a Galaxy tablet. Options like macro and face detection makes editing of photos very easy but these options are difficult to access.

Even though this 5-megapixel camera option gives excellent features, some critics feel that the camera of other Samsung mobile sets like Samsung Tocco Ultra edition and i8910HD had better quality cameras. The unavailability of a flash on the camera of Galaxy Tablet gives only poor quality pictures when shot at night even though it has a night mode option. It would also be difficult to get good shots in the absence of proper lighting.

The video quality of the camera of a recording using a Samsung Galaxy S is excellent as it records in High Definition. A video recording shot using a galaxy tablet Smartphone will come out with excellent clarity as it uses 30frames per second at a resolution of 1280×720 pixels or the 720p footage.

Both the Samsung Galaxy tab and Samsung Galaxy S have been the talk of the town as they took the market by storm as posing a real competition to the iPad and the iPhone respectively.  When you look at each of these pieces separately and compare it with their iPhone counterpart you realize that both the units sold over a million units within a few weeks and actually proved to take on their iPhone counterparts.

The Samsung Galaxy S

The Samsung Galaxy S was launched with Android 2.1 but later offered upgrades to Android 2.2 Froyo. It has 480×800 pixel Super AMOLED capacitive Touchscreen with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor. The Hummingbird is the code name for a 45nm 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU core that was made by Samsung and Intrinsity together.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Tab is 7-inch and it got a lot of criticism as many felt that it was neither sleek to be a Smartphone and was far too uncomfortable to do the job of a laptop, in spite of the fact that the Tab is smaller than lighter than the iPad. The Tab has its own advantages over the iPad, the Hummingbird processor with Swype input system, the Android 2.2 Fruyo along with the UI make it compatible with Adobe Flash 10.1 as well as HTML while the iPad can only supports HTML. This is the ideal devise if you use a lot of PDFs and eBooks as the screen makes the ideal appliance for reading. The other important element is that the Tab facilitates both video and voice calls. The two cameras are just right for a video call though it could be patchy at times. There is a built-in loudspeaker in case you wish to hold a video conference and if you wish to have a private chat opt for the Bluetooth headset.

After the release of both the Samsung Galaxy S and Tab the fight for the best Smartphone and tablet just got tougher!
